I use a chrome plugin called Draftback which allows me to see literally every letter typed as if it were being done in front of me in real time. It plays as a video which can be sped up so that I can see their process. The students know that I watch these so that if there are any sudden copy and pasting of larger chunks, it’s incredibly obvious. The ultimate acid test for me is that the student should be able to translate the entire piece in person if I put it in front of them. If they are unable to translate it then they don’t know the content and it isn’t their work.
It is a crafted piece of writing so there is that aspect but knowing my students and their abilities as well as keeping a close eye on them during the process is the ultimate control and, eliminates issues before they arise
Our Assistante, Anne Rajoie, has kindly recorded Julia’s listening exam. These files are now on the site for download. Each passage is separate with repeats and 30s pauses.
I have put a brief description of the Conference Theme and a link to the flyer on our Professional Development page.
Thank you for all your Sue and Elizabeth. I’ll head away and investigate these this week 🙂10/11/2017 at 12:08 in reply to: Les derniers ateliers de l'année – Christmas workshop (Auck, Chch) #6334
I’ve just posted the details on the events pages of the site. All the details are there for you in case it’s helpful and the address is hopefully correct?

I’m doing one that literally leaves in 5 weeks and would be more than happy to talk you through it. Email me on email@example.com and we can connect.
Thanks for advertising this – the flyer didn’t attach so could you please click “edit” in the top right hand corner of your post and re-attach it? I’ll put the dates in the calendar for teachers too.
Thanks for sharing these ideas for us. Open Days regularly come up as a headache for teachers – how do we promote our language! I’ll transfer your ideas onto our “For Teachers” page but, of course, they will remain “searchable” in this forum in the future.
Sometimes the files don’t attach. Go back to your post and click “edit” – top right. This allows you to edit the post. Now do the “choose file” process again and they will definitely attach.

Allie Hemmings shared a comprehensive document with us a few weeks ago. I quote: “Your “one stop shop” for students, including all standard information, assessment schedule, performance descriptors, strategies and exemplars.”
This document is on our Scholarship page under “Assessment”.
Thanks Papia – it’s gone straight onto our Online Resources page. Must try with my year 10
I’m not sure if it’s just my computer, but I don’t seem to be open the link – it says page not available. Could you check it please?
I still use them too. I’ll try and get the time to upload onto the site this weekend with the activity sheets I have for them25/01/2016 at 13:57 in reply to: Welcome! What are you going to change in your classroom this year? #2980
