Bonjour tout le monde! Kia Ora tātou!
NZAFT members will receive an email with a link to a Google Drive folder that gives you automatic access to all 2024 practice exam papers (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3). Our exams are also available as online examinations through Education Perfect. Contact Education Perfect through your account.
If you have not been a member at the start of Term 3, when the link is sent out to members, you will get the link once your membership subscription is processed and confirmed. This can take up to a week.
Please remember to sign up in Term 1.
Information about derived grades: Do's and Don'ts
You are encouraged to establish your derived grades by using a combination of several assessments, not just one.
You cannot use a full examination from a previous NZQA exam session, but you can use elements of old exams.
You can combine or mix texts and change questions from a range of old exams to produce your practice examination.
You may repeat the use of previously prepared practice examination material from another non-NZQA source (eg one generated through NZAFT) as long as it is not publicly available anywhere online and you have taken steps to maintain the confidentiality of its content (for example, by collecting in copies of the assessment, or making it unavailable online, once grades and feedback have been given).
Grades that count toward derived grades do not have to stem from full examinations. You can collect evidence from a mix of shorter assessments administered during class time, for example, as long as the same general conditions, as defined by the external assessment specifications (eg individual work, no communication between students, no content help from the teacher, no extra resources available, students submit work at the end of the class time), have been adhered to and an internal quality assurance process has been followed to ensure that the stimulus material is at the appropriate curriculum level and the questions can elicit a range of responses from Achieved through to Excellence.
